1,704 Covid-19 Patients in Jakarta Self-isolate at Home

  • TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Regional Secretariat's Government Bureau head, Burhanuddin Alamsyah, said that as of September 7, 2021, there were 1,704 Covid-19 patients who are self-isolating in the capital city.

    "Self-isolation is carried out by residents in their respective homes, which are in proper conditions," Burhanuddin said in a web seminar on Thursday, September 9.

    Based on the data disclosed by Burhanudin, the North Jakarta area has 322 people undergoing self-isolation. In Central Jakarta there are 197, in West Jakarta 197, in South Jakarta 499, in East Jakarta 488, and one in the Thousand Islands.

    Burhanuddin said that Jakarta's active cases of Covid-19 had been on a decline since August 11. That day, there were 11,101 active cases, and on September 8, yesterday, the number had dropped to 4,513.

    Yesterday saw Jakarta logging just 428 new cases from the PCR tests on 19,121 people.

    Since the beginning of the pandemic, Jakarta's total caseload has been reached 853,599 with 97.9 percent recovery rate or 835,700 survivors.
