TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The PeduliLindungi app is required for entering malls and flights and currently it is also planned to continue to be expanded for various tourism sectors.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno said his party would socialize the usage of this application so that it could be extended to cafes, hotels and restaurants.

The plan is to use color coding trials in four cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang and Surabaya for user filtering. The four colors are green, yellow, red and black.

"In the past there was no black, but now it is added for those who have not been vaccinated, with mobilities and there are indications of close contact with Covid-19 patients," said Sandiaga, Monday, September 6, 2021.

The color code will indicate whether or not the users are allowed to be in public places. The green color indicates that the user has been fully vaccinated and can access public facilities. While yellow means that the first dose has been vaccinated and can carry out activities with prior verification.

The red color category is for users who have not been vaccinated or have close contact with Covid-19. While the black color is for users who have not been vaccinated and have close contact with Covid-19.

From the latest data, the PeduliLindungi application has been downloaded by more than 30 million and used by more than 20 million users. The app has also screened nearly 1,600 black-coded users.

"We can handle this directly and limit it so that it does not become a new cluster in 6 main sectors," said Sandiaga. The six sectors include trade, tourism, transportation and religion.

Currently, Sandiaga Uno said that the first step evaluation showed a positive outcome, yet  there are still notes that need to be done as part of optimizing and improving the use of the PeduliLindungi app.
