TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two of five individuals incriminated in the viral alleged sexual harassment case that happened at the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) plan to file a police report against the victim who previously reported them to the police.
Earlier, Twitter users were shocked by a public announcement, posted by a victim of bullying and sexual harassment identified as MSA, about the series of bullying, both physical and mentally, he experienced while working with the five fellow KPI employees.
The lawyer representing the two men, Tegar Putuhena, confirmed this on Tuesday, September 7. “Yes, our clients are considering it.”
Not only are the two men planning to report the victim of the alleged bullying case, they also plan to report online social media accounts that shared MSA's initial open letter, which they say had exposed their personal data.
“We intend to report the people that contributed in spreading the personal data,” said the lawyer.
Tegar said his other clients have yet to do the same.
This case has grabbed widespread attention after MSA went public on social media and claimed he had fallen into depression after years of pressure, bullying, and peaked with an alleged sexual harassment by his fellow KPI coworkers in 2015.
MSA eventually filed a police report on Wednesday, September 1, and reported five Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) employees as alleged suspects of harassment.
