West Jakarta Police Arrest Two Iranians in Meth Lab Bust

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The West Jakarta Police's Drugs and Narcotics Unit raided a methamphetamine lab in a luxury housing complex in Karawaci, Tangerang. During the bust, the police arrested two Iranian nationals suspected of running the lab.
"The two people we took in are foreign nationals from Iran," West Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Ady Wibowo said on Friday, September 3.
Ady said that the bust in Karawaci took place on Wednesday following several weeks of stake-out. The police are still identifying the evidence confiscated and interrogating the suspects.
According to Commissioner Danang Setiyo, head of Drugs and Narcotics Unit, the West Jakarta Police are still investigating the case.
"We are basically keeping things in status quo, as we are still in the investigation stage," Danang said.
