Jakarta Velodrome Reopens to Vaccinated People

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-owned developer PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) has reopened international sports facility the Jakarta International Velodrome (JIV) in Rawamangun, East Jakarta starting today, August 30.
“The opening of the velodrome will also abide by the COVID-19 health protocols,” said Jakpro’s Corporate Secretary Nadia Diposanjoyo in Jakarta today.
Its operation would be in accordance with the Jakarta Gubernatorial Decree No. 1026 of 2021 concerning the level 3 public mobility restrictions or PPKM Level 3.
The velodrome had been off-limits to visitors based on the Gubernatorial Decree No. 996 of 2021 regarding the extension of PPKM Level 4. The decree stated that venues of arts, culture, sports facilities, and social activities that amass crowds were temporarily closed.
The velodrome will now be open every day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at a maximum capacity of 25 percent of 3,000 people, or 750 visitors at the same time.
People will be required to pass the body temperature checks and wear face masks according to the predetermined health protocols. Additionally, visitors must present their COVID-19 vaccination cards of at least the first dose via the JAKI application, PeduliLindungi, or related authorized institutions.
