The National Bank Association (Perbanas) in collaboration with Bio Farma and Kimia Farma has prepared 130,000 doses of sinopharm vaccine in the self-help vaccination program for 65,000 employees from 48 state, private, national, foreign and regional banks to achieve herd immunity target in August 2021. TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) deputy chairperson Shinta Kamdani confirmed her side would not provide a third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine or vaccine booster for the Gotong Royong vaccine program. There have been rampant issues about the matter after several parties claimed they would get the third jab.

“There’s no third dose,” said Shinta to Tempo on Wednesday, August 25. Even if the service is available, she ensured it is not initiated by Kadin. The agency is still organizing the private vaccination programs.

Previously, a flyer showing the price list of the Gotong Royong vaccination packages held by medical check-up providers went viral among the public. It was said that providers also offered a booster in two categories, viz. walk-in vaccination priced at Rp500,000 and home vaccination at Rp700,000.

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan earlier mulled over to have a third dose at the end of the year. Although he is already categorized as a senior citizen for his age of 74 years old, he claimed to have not yet received a vaccine booster injection.

“I’ll review it first. I received the Covid-19 vaccines in February. Perhaps, I will get a third dose at the end of the year,” said Luhut in a webinar on Tuesday, August 24.
