TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo, or Jokowi, in a video published at the Presidential Secretariat Youtube channel on Thursday lauded the door-to-door Covid-19 vaccination held by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and expects similar programs are held across every province in Indonesia. 

“I truly appreciate the door to door program as it really proactively visits the people and vaccinates them at their house. This is a great public service for those who yearn to be vaccinated,” said the President in the video published on August 19.

As of today, Jokowi directly monitored the program held in Madiun, East Java.

The State Intelligence has prioritized the program to vaccinate students and densely populated areas with 50,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses. 

The program has reached 14 Indonesian provinces across Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java East Java, Yogyakarta, Bali, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau Islands, East Kalimantan, Riau, South Sulawesi and Papua.
