Kimia Farma to Offer 2.7bn New Shares via Rights Issue

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned pharmaceutical firm Kimia Farma (IDX: KAEF) held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGM) on Wednesday. Shareholders agreed to the company's plan of holding a rights issue, offering 2.78 billion new shares.
KAEF will issue up to 2.78 billion series B shares for Rp100 per share through a Limited Public Offering (PUT) I mechanism.
"The proceeds will be used to pay maturing loans, as working capital, and business development, including in the context of digital and IT system transformation," the management said in a statement received in Jakarta, August 19.
In the EGM, shareholders also agreed on other things including the enactment of the SOE Minister Regulation on CSR programs, changes in nomenclature, and its board of commissioners and directors overhaul.
