TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-airport operator Angkasa Pura II in a statement on Tuesday announced the new cost of PCR tests in Tangerang’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport and Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung which abides by the latest government PCR upper ceiling cost regulation.
PCR tests in the two airports provided by Farmalab will not cost Rp495,000 with results able to be produced within 24 hours.
“Angkasa Pura II as operators of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Husein Sastranegara Airport has coordinated with Farmalab which runs the airport health centers in both of the airports,” wrote the Angkasa Pura II VP corporate communication, Yado Yarismano in a statement on August 17.
Services for PCR tests in Soekarno-Hatta are available for 24 hours in Terminals 2 and 3 while Husein Sastranegara operates from 07:00 up to 16:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB). Costs for Covid-19 rapid tests such as antigen tests have also been reduced to Rp125,000 per test under AP II-run airports.
This comes after President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo ordered the cost reduction to the Health Minister in an official video from the Presidential Secretariat on August 15 following public pressure. PCR tests prior to the price adjustment averaged at Rp900,000 per test.
