TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State energy company Pertamina through its Sub-Holding Commercial and Trading of Papua Maluku Region opened small-scale gas station called Pertashop in 16 areas in West Papua.

Unit Manager Communication and CSR Pertamina of Papua Maluku Region, Edi Mangun, said in a press conference on Saturday in Jayapura, that Pertashop is the official distributor of Pertamina. It has legality and the HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) aspects.

In total, there are 16 Pertashops in West Papua; 10 in Manokwari to South Manokwari, 2 in Kaimana, 1 in Fakfak and 3 in Sorong.

Pertashop is the distributor set to fulfill the needs of energy in the form of quality fuel for the people living in locations that have limited accessibilities to reach Pertamina gas station (SPBU).

The company's Papua Maluku Region plans to improve the service of Pertashops by coordinating with the regional government to add new outlets for fair accessibilities of energy for West Papua people.
