Densus 88 Searches House in Purwokerto

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police’s antiterror squad Detachment 88 (Densus 88) searched a house in Purwokerto, Banyumas regency, Central Java on Friday, August 13, 2021.
Densus 88 personnel, who were accompanied by Banyumas Police members, arrived at the house that was located in Kedungwuluh subdistrict, West Purwokerto district, Banyumas regency, at around 10 a.m., according to Antara.
Neighborhood unit head Sudiarso said the house belonged to a man identified by his initials only as YI, 37, who had lived there since childhood. Densus 88 personnel searched the house for about an hour.
“I was asked to witness the search. There were more than five personnel in the search. YI was not at home, there were only his wife and children,” he said.
He added that after the search Densus 88 personnel seized a laptop and an ID card. According to Sudiarso, YI sold cakes his wife made for a living.
Banyumas Police Chief Sr. Comr. Firman Hakim confirmed the search. “We only assisted with the security. We don’t know about the technical account,” he said.
