Covid-19 Task Force Records 24,709 New Cases

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Covid-19 task force reported 24,709 new additional Covid-19 cases on Thursday, August 12, 2021. 

According to the data recorded by the Health Ministry as of Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 12:00 PM, the daily additional cases were recorded from examining 153,717 specimens, which brings the total number of positive cases to a staggering 3,774,155 cases.

The most cases recorded in the latest update came from Central Java with 5,300 cases, followed by East Java with 3,161 cases, West Java with 1,868 cases, Bali with 1,353 cases, and North Sumatra with 1,314 cases. 

Fortunately, the number of recoveries also increased to 36,637 recoveries, which brings the total number to 3,247,715 people. The number of fatalities caused by the pandemic as of Thursday, AUgust 12, 2021, is recorded at 1,466 and adds up to the total number to 113,664 fatalities.
