TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan via his Instagram account, @aniesbaswedan, showcased the progress of the construction of the Cakra Selaras Wahana (CSW) integrated station on Jalan Trunojoyo, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
The station connecting the Transjakarta CSW bus stop with the ASEAN MRT Station will soon be completed.
“Alhamdulillah, we will no longer get the hassle over changing transportation mode,” said Anies in his post, as quoted by Tempo on Monday, August 9.
Anies explained commuters initially had to take hundreds of stairs to transit from CSW bus stop to ASEAN station or vice versa. The integrated station was aimed at improving mobility access for the public. “A third space that connects residents.”
The ASEAN MRT Station and Transjakarta CSW bus stop serving Corridor 13, the CSW 2 bus stop, and the Attorney General's Office by stop were connected by a skybridge. Anies said it would be equipped with escalators, stairs, and lifts.
Anies Baswedan said the city administration was still speeding up the construction project. “So when most of us have been protected by [Covid-19] vaccines and PPKM starts to be relaxed, the CSW integrated station is ready to be a connecting point for community mobility,” he said.
