TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Financial Services Authority (OJK) Chairman Wimboh Santoso confirmed the plans to extend the credit restructuring period until March 2022.
“There are still several things that we will discuss with industries,” said Wimboh in a press conference of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) in Jakarta, Friday, August 6.
He explained they would discuss the extension period, the beginning date, and how industries have the power to make allowances for the loss of productive assets (PPAP).
“All of them are in our calculations, but in principle, we will extend it,” he underlined.
According to him, OJK and the banking industry had discussed similar issues prior to drafting the credit restructuring rules. He hoped this year’s discussions would be completed soon in a bid to support the national economic recovery.
Additionally, Wimboh went on, OJK was committed to encouraging and monitoring public access to banking through credit.
