Wisma Atlet Covid-19 Hospital Logs 94 Additional Recoveries

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of patients treated at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital for Covid-19 has been reduced by 94 from treating 2,197 mild symptom patients to 2,103 as of Thursday, August 5. 

In a written statement today, the health facility’s spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said the remaining patients in the facility consists of 1,105 male patients and 1,088 female patients.

The government is currently operating four towers at the Wisma Atlet facility with positive results shown in the past few days. As of July 17, there were 6,128 patients treated at the facility’s Tower 4 to Tower 7.

Wisma Atlet has treated a total of 123,625 patients since its opening on March 23, 2020, with 121,521 released after recovering from Covid-19. 

The Covid-19 cases in Jakarta at the end of May this year once saw daily active cases surge to over 10,000 daily cases but have fortunately dropped to 2,000-4,000 daily cases. The city is now logging 70 percent isolation and ICU bed occupancy.
