TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Police arrested two marijuana dealers who had 44 kilograms of evidence on them. The men, MY and MS, were dealing them around Central Cikarang, Bekasi Regency.
"They were taking orders from an inmate of a prison in West Java," Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Yusri Yunus said on Wednesday, August 4.
Yusri said the police received reports from residents about the circulation of marijuana in Central Cikarang. They then did a stake-out on one of the suspects and had him followed. On July 23, MY was apprehended. "When we searched him, we found nine cases of marijuana, each weighing a kilogram," Yusri said.
The police found 15 more kilograms of marijuana in the house he rented, which was where MS was arrested.
Yusri said the police were heading to the correctional facility in West Java to question the prisoner suspected of running the marijuana trade from his cell.
