TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Health Ministry on Monday announced on its Instagram post that it is recruiting volunteers for the Covid-19 pandemic mitigation team that will be stationed in hospitals and other healthcare facilities across Indonesia, especially facilities handling the Covid-19 pandemic.
The criteria needed for the volunteers range from specialist doctors on anesthesia, pulmonology, internal medicine, radiology, general practitioner, nurses, medical laboratory technical expert, midwives, dietitian, epidemiologist, pharmacists, and more.
The Health Ministry offers monthly incentives ranging from Rp15 million for a specialist doctor’s position to Rp5 million for various other healthcare personnel. Accommodation expenses will also be covered by the ministry as the islands of Java and Bali are experiencing a surge in Covid-19 patients.
The main requirements for volunteers include possession of a state health insurance policy (BPJS), national healthcare insurance, or an Indonesia Health Card, and other forms of insurance.
Volunteers must show that they are permitted to participate by family members in the form of a written statement, registration permit or certificate for competence, and a statement willing to be stationed in any Indonesian region.
