TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Financial Services Authority (OJK) Capital Market Supervisor Chief Executive Hoesen on Thursday hinted that there would be three companies under the status of unicorn and decacorn that will be listed on the Indonesia stock exchange (IDX) this year, following in the steps of Bukalapak that went public recently .
Hoesen said in the virtual investor daily summit on July 15 there were three tech emitents that were able to record a market cap of more than Rp100 trillion. This makes the three as big caps in the IDX, Bisnis.com reported..
“Maybe we’ve all heard that there are Indonesian startups that plan to conduct an IPO. The three tech firms’ status are unicorn and decacorn with a total valuation of US$21 billion,” he said.
He believed the prospect on the technology sector to become top leaders in the stock market remained open although the market capitalization in this sector had only logged five percent of the total market cap.
Hoesen said he was upbeat that the technology sector in the domestic stock market would continue to grow, especially after tech unicorns and decacorns had signaled their IPO plans. He added that this situation would attract international investors into Indonesia's capital market.
