TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Tangerang  Regency and the regional-owned enterprises formed a task force in order to monitor the availability of medical oxygen needed by Covid-19 hospitals and other health facilities.

"This is part of the partnership, [and] the mutual cooperation of Tangerang-owned enterprises and the Tangerang Regency Government to help provide oxygen and oxygen tank," said Tangerang Regent, Ahmed Zaki Iskandar on Thursday, July 15.

The Task Force's duties include checking the medical oxygen supplies at distribution agents and solving the problems regarding the supply of medical oxygen.

Head of the Supervisory Board of Perumdam Tirta Kerta Raharja, Moch Measal Rasyid, who is also the Regional Secretary of Tangerang Regency, said that the task force was a form of support from the regional-owned firms for the Covid-19 mitigation efforts. The Task Force is ready to help hospitals and health facilities in Tangerang Regency to obtain oxygen supplies to treat COVID-19 patients.

"Currently, there are 55 oxygen tank supplies and some are on the way, which will complete the target of 200 tanks," said Rasyid.

"All hospitals, private hospitals, partner hospitals, even the community health centers (Puskesmas) may come here for oxygen supplies," the Regional Secretary of Tangerang Regency added.
