TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, who also spearheads the emergency public activity restrictions (Emergency PPKM), said Monday that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo would distribute free therapeutic medicine packages for those who could not afford them and people in self-isolation.

This program is set to be introduced on Wednesday this week. “The President has decided as of Wednesday this week we will launch 300 thousand packages for people with mild symptoms and asymptomatic people,” said Luhut following a limited work meeting with President Jokowi on July 12.

According to him, this medicine packages will reach at least 210 thousand COVID-19 patients who are undergoing self-isolation for the next couple of months. “It will be distributed by military personnel and other elements. The procedure is being formulated,” he said.
