TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan via his Instagram account @aniesbaswedan shared the experience of having the Covid-19 vaccine shot. According to Anies, he received the AstraZeneca vaccine.
He recalled that he also experienced symptoms of not feeling well after the inoculation.
“I feel aches in the arms and –as research finds and doctors say– there are aches or pains in the joints. Roughly similar to flu symptoms, but without a runny nose and cough,” Anies wrote on Monday night, June 28, 2021.
“It's enough to take paracetamol that was given during the injection process. Alhamdulillah (Praise to God), the discomfort is minimized.”
The symptoms of joint pain were felt for 1.5 days, he informed.
Anies also uploaded photos of himself before and after the vaccine was injected. In one of the photos, he showed a vial containing the vaccine that was injected into his left arm.
Anies Baswedan was previously unable to receive the Covid-19 vaccine as he is a Covid-19 survivor. He was exposed to the coronavirus on December 1 last year and underwent self-isolation at the official residence. On December 28, 2020, the governor was finally tested negative for Covid-19.
