Hong Kong Bans Garuda Flights from Jakarta after 4 Tested Positive for Covid-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Hong Kong Authority has banned the arrivals of Garuda Indonesia flights from Jakarta after four passengers tested positive for Covid-19. The passengers had flown in on Sunday, 20 June in a Garuda flight GA876.
All four passengers tested positive upon arrival in Hong Kong.
Authorities immediately responded by banning the arrival of Jakarta inbound Garuda flights. The ban is effective from Tuesday, 22 June to 5 July.
On Tuesday, Hong Kong found seven imported cases of Covid-19, including six women from Indonesia and a man with unclear travel history.
"None of the patients were showing symptoms," the Center for Health Protection Hong Kong said as quoted from chinadailyhk.com, Wednesday, June 23.
In the last 15 days until Tuesday, there had been no local transmission in Hong Kong. The city state has a total caseload of 11,896 to date.
