TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is planning to impose an upper ceiling parking fee for parking lots located in the capital city with the highest reported likely to reach IDR 60,000 per hour.
Dishub Head Syafrin Lupito said that there will be three new parking lots that will be imposing the highest tariff for vehicles that have yet to pass emissions tests.
"There will soon be three parking locations that will impose the highest tariff for vehicles that do not meet the emissions regulations and have not paid their tax," said Lupito on Friday, June 18, 2021, as quoted by Antaranews.
The agency is also set to test the new regulation in three notable parking lots in the city that consists of IRTI Monas, the West Jakarta Vehicle Document Registration Center (Samsat), and Blok M Square.
The new parking fee regulation came after the Traffic Agency held a group discussion with parking lot users, parking management, and experts in the field of urban parking which refers to the Governor’s Regulation No.31/2017 and No.120/2012 on parking tariff.
