Bank Jago, GoTo to Launch Collaborative Program in Second Semester

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Jago Deputy President Director Arief Harris Tandjung confirmed that its collaboration with GoTo has become a hot topic of discussion given that the tech group is a merger of two tech giants, Gojek and Tokopedia, and planned to conduct an initial public offering (IPO).
“We are indeed planning and will launch a collaborative program with Gojek Group or GoTo in the second semester of this year,” said Arief in a webinar of Mandiri Sekuritas on Tuesday, June 15.
According to him, collaboration with the ecosystem players is necessary, including with GoTo, as in line with the bank’s business model that is determined to grow digitally.
A subsidiary of Gojek, PT Dompet Karya Anak Bangsa, with its digital payment service GoPay owns 21.40 percent share of Bank Jago.
Arief disclosed that his side is developing an integrated program of the two platforms to provide seamless services to users, including customers, merchants, and driver-partners. The services will be launched gradually based on the company’s product plan.
Bank Jago mobile application which was launched recently, Arief went on, started with its savings service. In the future, Bank Jago will develop various financial products, such as loan offers through partnerships with financing firms or online lending platforms and wealth management retail or retail mutual funds, and retail bancassurance products.
