Rain, Strong Winds Likely to Hit Parts of Jakarta Today: BMKG

    TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency or BMKG has issued an early warning about the potential rain. It is forecasted that rain will pour down Jakarta on Wednesday, June 16.

    “Beware of the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in East Jakarta, South Jakarta, and West Jakarta during the day and night,” the agency announced on its official website early Wednesday, June 16.

    Rain will also shower West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands this morning.

    During the day, only Central Jakarta and the Thousand Islands will not see rainfall.

    On Thursday morning, the capital city’s weather is expected to be cloudy. Rain will only occur in the Thousand Islands areas.

    Today’s temperature is estimated at 24 to 33 degrees Celsius with an average humidity of 70 -95 percent.

    As for the capital city’s neighboring regions, rain is forecasted to fall in Bekasi this morning and in Depok in the afternoon. The BMKG also warns of the potential for rain during the day and night for Bogor City and Regency.
