TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fast-food restaurant chain McDonald's Indonesia has spoken up about the closure of a number of outlets in Jakarta after launching the new signature menu BTS Meal. The company’s Associate Director of Communication Sutji Lantyka said her side is imposing an ‘open and close’ scheme on its outlets following large crowds of customers.
“To anticipate the queue of drive-thru customers and delivery service, we are applying an open and close scheme for orders in the delivery service platform and continue to appeal to all parties to maintain and comply with the health protocols based on regulations,” said Sutji in a short message today, June 9.
She asked customers not to worry over running out of the celebrity menu because it will still be available on the next day until next July.
“BTS Meal is not only available today,” said Sutji. However, she appreciated the enthusiasm of the public to purchase the special menu in collaboration with popular K-pop group Bangtan Boys or BTS.
McDonald's Indonesia has officially released the BTS Meal menu today, June 9, with special purple packaging featuring the BTS logo. The BTS fans or familiarly called BTS Army and delivery service drivers crowded the fast-food outlets to buy the meal which includes chicken nuggets, fries, coke, and dips since it is launched at 11:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
