Bank Syariah Indonesia React to Forbes' Best Bank List

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), a bank established through the merger of some of Indonesia's largest sharia banks, has managed to earn international acknowledgement after it was ranked as one of the world's best banks in Forbes World's Best Banks 2021 list.
BSI president director Hery Gunardi said that the prestigious recognition comes as a motivation for the sharia bank to continue growing and help reignite the economy amidst a Covid-19 pandemic.
"This is a motivation for us to improve our services for customers and the broader public and push for the development of the sharia economy for the welfare of the people in the future," Hery stated through a written statement on Thursday, May 27, 2021.
The World's Best Banks involves surveying more than 43,000 consumers across 28 countries with five assessment criteria: trust, terms and conditions, customer services, digital services, and financial advice.
Hery believed that BSI will become the country's centre of gravity for sharia economy both in the regional and global scale.
"The recognition from Forbes has become a motivation of ours to continue working hard to realize the goal," Hery said.
