Indonesia COVID-19 Update: 5,746 New Cases, 186 Additional Deaths

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the nation has continued to climb, as the government recorded 5,746 additional cases as of Friday, May 21, 2021 at noon.

The additional figures have brought the total tally to 1,764,644 cases since the first case was announced in March 2020.

According to the government’s data, the number of recovered patients today rose by 4,570 to 1,626,142, but the mortality rate also climbed by 186 to 49,073.

The government said it was presently monitoring 77,431 COVID-19 suspects, and that 95,052 specimens related to the coronavirus were examined today.
