TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The operations of Jakarta's mass-rapid transit (MRT Jakarta) has returned to its normal schedule as of Monday, May 17. It previously limited the operating during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
The transportation service company head of corporate secretary division, Ahmad Pratomo, said the MRT trains now operate from 05:00 - 23:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) from Monday to Friday while the schedule on the weekends remains shorter from 06:00 - 21:00 WIB.
“MRT Jakarta has reinstated the normal operational hours starting from Monday, May 17, following the Eid holidays amidst the Micro PPKM social restriction rules,” Pratomo wrote in a statement on Tuesday, May 18.
The headway is set at 5 minutes during rush hours on weekdays and 10 minutes during the weekend. MRT Jakarta continues to limit the number of passengers to 70 percent of its total capacity amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
