Jokowi Monitors Toll Project, Covid-19 Vaccination in Riau Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo departed for Riau Province for a working visit today, May 19, 2021. Along with his entourage, the state head boarded the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft-1 from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at around 07:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
Upon arrival at the Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base, Pekanbaru City, he headed for the construction site of the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang toll road.
“The President wants to monitor the construction of a 40-kilometer toll road, which is part of the Trans Sumatra toll road,” said the Presidential Secretariat’s Press, Media, and Information Bureau on Wednesday, May 19.
The President was also scheduled to brief governors, regents, and mayors regarding the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Riau Regional Building, Pekanbaru City.
After the briefing, he would visit the Youth Sports Center (GOR) near the Riau Regional Building to inspect the mass Covid-19 vaccination for public service officers, teachers, religious leaders, community leaders, and the elderly.
Jokowi was then scheduled to leave for the Riau Islands Province for another working visit.
