TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - 1,200 tourism workers in Mandalika have completed their second Covid-19 vaccination doses, a program that was supported by the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) tourism agency, NTB health agency, Kuta community health centers, and the Mandalika Hotel Association (MHA).
The Mandalika managing director, Bram Subiandoro, said that the vaccination program for workers who work in the area of 'The Mandalika' is one of the real attempts to control the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia and specifically the high-end tourism site.
"The vaccination helps protect the workers and officials who are working in an environment that makes them prone to the virus," Bram said.
Those who received the Covid-19 vaccine shots were employees of the local hotels, ITDC workers, security, janitors, national search and rescue agency, and gas station employees in The Mandalika.
Head of the Mandalika Hotel Association, Samsul Bahri, conveyed his optimism for the hotel sector’s recovery. "The key is to strive in the fight against Covid-19," he said.
