COVID-19 Task Force Sets New Policy for International Arrivals at Soetta Airport

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The COVID-19 Task Force and state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) along with other relevant stakeholders established new procedures for the international passengers’ arrivals at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
With the new procedures, passengers from abroad are required to pass nine security checkpoints. The commander of the COVID-19 Task Force for air transports Col. Tek. Sunu Eko P. said the new policy aimed at tightening the implementation of the health protocols until the process to the quarantine site.
“We ask for public support and thank passengers who have abided by this procedures well,” said Sunu in a written statement on Friday, April 30.
The nine security checkpoints applied to Soekarno-Hatta Airport are as follows.
- First checkpoint
Passengers are required to fill in their personal data and flight data upon arrival through Hore V2 (Hotel Reservation Version 2) app in the international arrival area. They can also use kiosk machines to input the data.
- Second checkpoint
Passengers’ health documents will be reviewed by officers of the Port Health Office of the Health Ministry. Their quarantine site will be decided at this stage whether at the hotel or Wisma Atlet Pademangan.
- Third checkpoint
Passengers’ data on quarantine location will be recorded here.
- Forth checkpoint
Passengers must pass the immigration process.
- Fifth checkpoint
Passengers are allowed to pick up their baggage at the Baggage Claim area.
- Sixth checkpoint
Passengers must pass the customs process.
- Seventh checkpoint
Passengers must register themselves at the Help Desk of the hotel for the quarantine process.
- Eighth checkpoint
At this stage, airport police officers will review passengers’ personal identification data and quarantine locations.
- Ninth checkpoint
In the last stage, passengers will be picked up by a designated bus to their quarantine sites under the monitoring of the COVID-19 Task Force.
