Jokowi Meets Anies to Discuss Covid-19 Measure

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan was in an online meeting with President Joko Widodo or Jokowi today, April 28. The meeting was to discuss, among other, Indonesia's Covid-19 measures.

According to Anies, in the meeting Jokowi gave instructions to regional heads and members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda).

"The President addressed two main issues. The first was about Covid-19, and the second was about economic recovery efforts," Anies said.

The governor said that Jokowi stressed on the importance of controlling Covid-19 situations in rural areas and the provinces, particularly in anticipation of the Idul Fitri long holiday.

Jokowi also gave some insights on how to maintain the current economic momentums - how to keep it moving in a positive direction.

In addition to regional heads, Anies Baswedan said that online meeting was also attended by regional police chiefs and the Regional Military Commander, among others.
