Bogor Supports Homecoming Ban, Waits for Technical Regulation

2 April 2021 00:37 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bogor Deputy Mayor Dedie A Rachim said that the Bogor city government is yet to draft a detailed regulation concerning the homecoming ban as instructed by the central government.

"Still waiting for a more detailed technical regulation from the central government related to the homecoming ban," Dedie said on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

Dedie added that the Bogor city government will support the central government's policy. However, Dedi said that the Bogor city government is still waiting for the technical regulation so it can be implemented correctly.

Dedie applauded the central government's decision to impose a homecoming ban. According to Dedie, the policy was taken to prevent Covid-19 from spreading in other regions. "So there will be no surge of Covid-19 cases in the regions," Dedie explained.

The decision to impose a homecoming ban from May 6 until May 17, 2021, is intended to prevent the widespread of Covid-19 transmission. "After considering all long-term risks, the government must take a firm decision for the good of others," said the spokesman of the Covid-19 Mitigation Task Force Wiku Adisasmito.
