Jokowi: More than 100,000 People in Maluku Have Been Vaccinated

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo today, March 25, monitored the mass Covid-19 vaccination at dr. J. Leimena General Hospital (RSUP), Ambon City. He said that more than 100,000 people have received vaccines in Maluku Province.
“In Maluku Province, 116,000 people have been vaccinated and there are 30,000 vaccinated people in Ambon alone. This vaccination process continues, and we hope it will complete according to the target,” said the President in his remarks.
In this program, the vaccines were administered to religious leaders, teachers and education staffers, and public service workers. Other than monitoring the mass vaccinations, the President also inaugurated the first RSUP in the Eastern Indonesia region.
“This is a large hospital that we hope can serve people in the eastern Indonesia region,” he said.
Jokowi mentioned that the hospital's groundbreaking was carried out in 2017. He also hoped that dr. Johannes Leimena Hospital can provide excellent service for all Indonesian people, especially in the eastern region.
