TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan confirmed that he has not yet received the Covid-19 vaccine to date. As a survivor, he planned to undergo an antibody test three months after recovering from the disease or on March 28, 2021.
“If the result shows that my antibody is still high, I will consult a doctor. And if vaccination can be carried out, I will immediately join the program. So I will participate in the vaccination here,” said Anies in an online press conference on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.
As previously reported, the governor was exposed to the coronavirus disease at the end of last year. He was declared cured on December 28, 2020. Thus, he is only able to be vaccinated after three months of being a survivor.
This regulation is noted in a Circular No. HK.02.02/I/368/2021 concerning the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination for the elderly, comorbid patients, and Covid-19 survivors issued by the Health Ministry in February 2021.
Earlier on Thursday, January 7, Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria said he and Anies Baswedan were not included in the priority list for the Covid-19 vaccine as they had been infected and already recovered so that they were considered to have the antibody. However, Riza added that he was ready to get the shot.
