TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Jakarta government is set to administer Covid-19 vaccines to employees of the city’s public transportation, viz. MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, and Transjakarta. The first phase of the Covid-19 vaccination is held at the MRT Jakarta Fatmawati Station, South Jakarta, and the LRT Depo for two days on March 24-25, 2021.

Jakarta MRT President Director William Sabandar said the vaccination was carried out to support the second phase of the national vaccination program. “One of the targets is regional-owned firm employees engaged in public services,” said William in a written statement, Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

In this vaccination, 686 people will receive their first dose of the vaccine, while the second dose will be given two weeks later on April 7-8, 2021. “This vaccination can be carried out thanks to the support of various parties,” he added.

MRT Jakarta supported a collaborative program aimed at backing the government in administering vaccines to the community. “It is hoped that with the collaboration, we can all unite and succeed in pushing the vaccination to tackle Covid-19 in Indonesia,” William remarked.

MRT Jakarta has appointed Mayapada Hospital to hold the Covid-19 vaccination. Mayapada Healthcare Group CEO Jonathan Tahir said his side supports the government in accelerating the vaccination program.
