Ma'ruf Amin Asks Solo University to Help with Covid-19 Response

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin encouraged Sebelas Maret State University (UNS) to continue to be a partner of the government in efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Giving a speech for the university's 45th anniversary on Friday, March 12, the vice president asked them to take part in efforts to restore the national economy.
"I encourage UNS academics to continue making creative and innovative work in providing a real role for the nation and state, especially to become partners with the government in trying to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as in efforts to restore the national economy, which requires various breakthrough efforts based on the advantages of competitive human resources," Ma'ruf said.
Ma'ruf said that the UNS Fintech Center can also contribute to advancing the financial services sector through digital transformation.
As a state university, Ma'ruf added, UNS is also expected to have more freedom in managing its resources potentials, to become a "superior and outstanding university, and have the opportunity and potential be among the ranks of the world's top 500 universities."
