Bima Arya: Covid-19 Vaccines Work Well as No More Health Worker Test Positive

TEMPO.CO, Bogor - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto said the Covid-19 vaccines injected into health workers in the city have started to work well which is evident from zero cases of coronavirus disease among them this month.
“The vaccine starts working to increase antibodies. The impact is that the number of healthcare workers tested positive for Covid have dropped drastically,” said Bima on Tuesday, March 9, adding that there were 10 positive cases among health professionals in February 2021.
“This means, the vaccines that have been injected into them in the first stage [of the national vaccination program] have worked well, and there are no side effects,” he explained.
Previously, the Bogor Health Agency Head Sri Nowo Retno said the city has 10,772 healthcare workers as recorded in the Information System of Health Human Resources with 10,742 of them or 99.72 percent have received the vaccine, while the rest could not get the shot as they have comorbidities, are pregnant or breastfeeding, and survivors.
“Vaccinations for health workers have been completed at the end of February,” said Sri Nowo Retno.
