TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The capsule hotel or the Digital Airport Hotel at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, now provides accommodation options for two to three people. The new service is called Roombox, a more spacious room compared to single sleeping pods.
“[We introduce] Roombox to meet demands of customers who want to stay in one room together. For example, parents with a 12-year-old child,” said Director of PT Capsule Indonesia Rudy Josano on Monday, March 8, 2021.
Initially, the capsule hotel only provided rooms for one person. Roombox is now open at the Digital Airport Hotel Terminal 2. Various facilities available include beds for 2 to 3 people, desks and chairs, television, and air conditioning or AC.
According to Rudy, Roombox is available for stays starting from Rp450,000 to Rp500,000, while the sleeping pods are set at Rp200,000 for nine hours and Rp300,000 for 24 hours.
The Digital Airport Hotel managed by PT Capsule Indonesia was launched on August 10, 2018, having 120 rooms with a futuristic design and equipped with various facilities including lockers and shower rooms.
In February 2020, Digital Airport Hotel expanded its services to Terminal 2 with a total of 110 rooms integrated with the smart airport or digital airport concept at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
In the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Rudy ensured that Digital Airport Hotel was carrying out strict health protocols. He added that each room was sterilized with UV light.
