Jakarta Covid-19 Update; New 2,008 Cases Found Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government has released the latest data on Covid-19 in the city. Today, March 4, the Health Agency announced new 2,008 confirmed cases.
The Health Agency’s Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division, Dwi Oktavia, said the number was obtained from the PCR swab test results carried out on 15,694 specimens.
“Of the total tests, 13,340 people were tested for PCR today to diagnose new cases. From the results, 2,008 turned back positive and 11,332 were negative,” said Dwi in a written statement on Thursday, March 4.
The capital city’s positivity rate of the coronavirus infection in the past week reached 13.4 percent,” while the total positivity rate is 11.1 percent,” Dwi added.
Jakarta has now recorded 345,816 positive cases since the first case detected in Indonesia. From which, 7,401 patients are still in treatment or isolation.
The Health Agency also reported 5,657 deaths and 332,758 recoveries. The level of death rate is 1.6 percent while the recovery rate is 96.2 percent.
