TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country remains on the rise as the government’s data show as of Friday at noon there have been 8,232 new cases in the last 24 hours.

With the additional figure, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia has reached 1,322,866 cases since the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.

Meanwhile, the number of recoveries today has reached 7,261, bringing the total recoveries to 1,128,672, while additional deaths were recorded at 268, pushing the total deaths to 35,768.

The government is presently monitoring 75,822 suspects and examining 63,827 specimens.
