TEMPO.CO, Jakarta Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin has officially issued a regulation on private vaccinations. The regulation is ratified in the Health Minister’s Regulation No. 10 Year 2021 on the Implementation of Vaccinations in the Mitigation of COVID-19 Pandemic.

In the regulation, private vaccinations are dubbed the Vaksinasi Gotong Royong (mutual cooperation vaccinations). The regulation’s Article 1 Verse (5) mentions that mutual cooperation vaccinations are those given to employees, families and other individuals related to families whose funding would be covered by legal or business entities.

Article 3 Verse (1) of the regulation says the implementation of COVID-19 vaccinations are carried out by the central government, in which provincial governments and city or regency governments and legal or business entities can be involved.

The mutual cooperation vaccinations that are part of the independently-purchased vaccinations will be rendered free of charge. “Employees, families and other individuals related to families as recipients of COVID-19 vaccines in the services of Vaksinasi Gotong Royong as mentioned in Verse (3) will not be charged/gratis,” the regulation’s Article 3 Verse (5) reads.
