TEMPO.CO, JakartaJakarta Health Agency Head of the Disease Prevention and Control, Dwi Oktavia, said there has been an error in the entry data of the number of positive Covid-19 cases since the previous days, causing delays in the data withdrawal on Wednesday, February 24.

According to Dwi, her side recorded 782 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus obtained from PCR tests conducted on 13,982 people. “There is a possibility of data accumulation from the previous days that have not been withdrawn through the system, she added.

The Health Agency noted a decrease in active cases by 1,711 cases. As of Wednesday, there were 10,354 active cases under hospital treatment and independent isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Jakarta has 332,658 cases.

Of that number, 317,003 patients have recovered, bringing the recovery rate to 95.3 percent. Meanwhile, there were 5,301 deaths, or the mortality rate reached 1.6 percent. “Indonesia's death rate is 2.7 percent,” said Dwi.

During the past week, the Health Agency noted that the Covid-19 positivity rate in the capital city was 15.1 percent or 11 percent in total. The number was far above the WHO standard of less than 5 percent. “The total PCR test rate per 1 million population is 283,156 people. The number of people who tested in the past week is 79,123,” Dwi said.
