TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission or KPK has called in Vloro Maxi Sulaksono, the director of PT Cipta Mitra Artha, to question him as a witness for the Covid-19 social assistance corruption case. He will be examined as a witness for suspect Matheus Joko Santoso, the Social Affairs Ministry's former procurement officer.
"He will be examined as a witness for [Matheus]," KPK acting spokesman Ali Fikri said on Wednesday, February 24.
Cipta Mitra Artha is suspected of being one of the companies that received the Covid-19 social assistance procurement project.
The anti-graft commission has named former minister Juliari Batubara and four other people as suspects, including two of his subordinates Adi Wahyono and Matheus Joko Santoso. The other two suspects are civilians Ardian I. M and Harry Sidabuke.
The KPK suspects Juliari of siphoning Rp10,000 from each Covid-19 social assistance package that is distributed to the Greater Jakarta area. The total amount of money he allegedly took is estimated at around Rp17 billion.
