TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two of Tempo’s newspaper and magazine brands, Koran Tempo and Majalah Tempo, took home four awards in The 12th Indonesia Print Media Awards (IPMA) 2021 that was hosted by the print media union or Serikat Perusahaan Pers (SPS).
Tempo magazine managed to take home two awards in two categories that champion content and local news, economy, and business for its investigative reports and covers.
Meanwhile , Koran Tempo triumphed by winning two awards in the categories of ‘best national daily newspaper’ and ‘best news editorial’ in terms of content.
The award ceremony is set to be held virtually through SPS’ Youtube channel today on February 24.
This adds to the list of Tempo's accolades this year as in January, Tempo weekly magazine clinched the 2020 Adinegoro Award in the category of Print Media with the coverage titled “Jalan Pedang Dai Kampung” by Devy Ernis and her team; Aisha Saidra, and Dini Pramita, published in the magazine’s July 27, 2020 edition.
The article chronicles the roles of male and female Islamic preachers in remote areas in spreading peace, tolerance, and equality. They also empower students and the community around the Islamic boarding schools, or locally known pesantren, to solve daily life problems.
