Jakarta Gets 70,000 Covid-19 Vaccines for 2nd Inoculation Phase

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Jakarta Health Agency, Widyastuti, announced that the capital city administration has received 70,000 Covid-19 vaccines for the elderly and market traders that have been distributed to vaccination spots on Friday morning.
“Earlier in dawn we received at least 60,000 doses for the elderly and 10,000 doses for traders in markets,” said Widyastuti in a virtual press conference on Friday, February 19.
According to the city administration, 3.5 million from the elderly demographic will be subjected to the second phase of vaccination apart from people working in the public service sector.
The Covid-19 vaccination in the city had been started in the Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta, on February 17. It targets 10,000 traders and people that support market activities.
“We will complete the vaccination for people in the market and the elderly group while constantly coordinating with the team at the central government,” said the Head of Jakarta’s Health Agency.
