TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Angkasa Pura Supports, the subsidiary of state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I, signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Indonesian Tourism Development (Persero) or ITDC to support the implementation of MotoGP 2021 in Mandalika. This commitment marks the fundamentals of preparing a feasibility study and exploring cooperation related to the provision of labor and equipment.
"We hope that this MoU can support the establishment of cooperation in operational and utilization of other resources between Angkasa Pura Supports and ITDC Nusantara Utilities," Angkasa Pura Supports director Desy Sulistyorini said in a written statement, Thursday, February 11.
Desy ensures that this collaboration will provide sustainable benefits for all stakeholders who support the recovery of the tourism sector, especially in Mandalika.
Meanwhile, Angkasa Pura I president director Faik Fahmi said the role of the subsidiary is important to develop the company's business portfolio and gain new sources of income outside the core business. This plan is one of the strategies set for 2021.
The Mandalika Special Economic Zone will be host several international tourism agendas in 2021. In addition to the MotoGP, sports competitions such as the Superbike, Iron Man, L'etape Indonesia, and Rinjani 100 will be held in this super-priority destination.
