Children Need Negative Covid-19 Test to Board Airplane: AP II

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) announced the latest requirements for air travel which would be valid as of February 9, 2021.
One of the new regulations was that passengers aged above five years old are required to present a medical document showing a negative result of Covid-19.
The policy was referred to the Transportation Ministerial Circular No. 19/2021 concerning the guidelines for the implementation of domestic travel via air transport during the pandemic.
Additionally, the latest rule was based on the Transportation Ministerial Circular No. 21/2021 on the guidelines for the implementation of international travel via air transport during the pandemic.
AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin ensured that his side was applying the latest flight requirement in collaboration with other stakeholders at the airport. “The new requirement for air travel is valid from February 9 until an undetermined time,” Awaluddin said in his statement on Wednesday, February 10.
