Anies Baswedan, President Jokowi to Hold Meeting on PPKM Policy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will hold a meeting with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and four other governors to discuss the implementation of the PPKM social restriction, which has been required for regions prioritized in the national Covid-19 mitigation.
Prior to the meeting, the Jakarta governor chose to be tight-lipped and was hesitant to answer journalists as to what the meeting will discuss. “That could be done later after the meeting,” said Anies Baswedan on February 3..
Met at the same location as the governor, Jakarta deputy governor Ahmad Riza Patria said he hopes the President will agree on a number of suggestions from the capital city administration such as increasing the healthcare facilities for regions affected by the PPKM social restriction.
“It is indeed not easy to improve the healthcare facilities around Jakarta. But we are sure about the support from the central government. We also hope there would be improvements made on the Greater Jakarta Areas,” said the Deputy Governor.
